To individuals working through this course: Use this to test yourself and ready yourself for the formal reporting for your degree. This is also for those who are teaching the course to others.

1. A big part of this course 
was giving over to God your self-effort and coming to trust His work in your life:

A. What was the self-effort that you gave to God?
B. How did your trust in God grow?
C. Has this new trust changed your life in any way?
D. If so, what has been the change?

2. In the very first part of the course you learned about the roots (Chapter Five: in Application) that may be feeding the bad fruit of your life and your community:

A. What did God reveal to you through this diagram?
B. What has been your personal response to the teaching of roots and fruit?
C. How is this still impacting you today?

3. An integral part of this course has been using the Healing Prayer Process (Chapter Six: Freedom) to break off strongholds in our lives:

A. What is the pre-step, or step ‘0’?
B. List steps 1 through 7.
C. Give a short summary of each step.
D. Give an example of how to pray each step.
E. Write out an example prayer using all the steps 0-7.
F. Label the parts of the prayer.

4. We used this prayer process to work through and find freedom from a number of things:

A. Mark ‘yes’ if you were able to sincerely pray the following prayers (if not mark ‘no’):

  • A heart of stone
  • Idolatry of good
  • Generational hatred of women
  • Idolatry of power
  • … list others, in order

5. Repentance has also been a big part of what we have studied:

A. How did you first find the idea of repentance? Was it hard or easy to accept?

D. In your own words, explain how we enter into repentance for the healing of our nations.

6. We have spent some time looking a ttrust (Chapter 22: Servants, in Application) as people, as leaders and in our homes:

A. What did you learn about trust?
B. What changes did you make as a result of what you learned?
C. What has been the result of those changes?
D. How do you intend to go forward through life as a trustworthy person?
E. Even now, commit this plan to God and invite him to help you live it.

7. We have all lived a journey (Chapter 14: Our Journey, in Application) unique to each of us.We took some time to note our individual life markers:

A. What have been your life markers?
B. How was this process of determining your life markers? Was it easy or difficult or a bit of both?
C. What has been the impact of doing the work of noting your life markers?
D. Have you been able to share your testimony or story with others?
E. If so, what was the impact of your story shared to others?
F. Is the Holy Spirit prompting you to share your story with anyone else?

8. Early in the course we learned about the importance of taking a sabbath (Chapter 18: Sabbath, in Application) rest:

A. Have you been able to create a day of rest for yourself and your family?
B. What has been the impact of this in your life?
C. Is there a key habit or focus that helps you to continue keeping a regular day of rest? What is it?

9. We have also seen the importance of forgiveness (Chapter 20: Forgiveness):

A. Who have you been able to forgive? How has this changed your life?
B. Were you able to forgive yourself? How has this changed your life?
C. Was there anything you needed to forgive God for? How has this changed your life?

10. We spent a bit of time considering our thoughts, beliefs, and practices of tithing:

A. How did you experience this conversation regarding tithing (Chapter 39: Money)?
B. Has it been helpful?
C. What did the Lord reveal to you about tithing?
D. Did you have any changes to make in terms of tithing?
E. What has been the impact of your life in this respect?

11. Through-out this course we came to see that life will still be difficult (Chapter 10: Difficulty), and that lament (Chapter 29: Lament) and grieving is healthy and okay:

A. What impact has this teaching had on your life?
B. List the five stages of grief?
C. Have you allowed yourself to sorrow over things that have gone wrong for you or for others?
D. What was the experience of this?
E. Did God meet you in your sorrow?
F. If so, how did this impact you?
G. How might you teach others about sorrow, grieving, and lament?

12. We briefly looked at following through on the good thoughts (action ideas) (Chapter 21: Compassion, in Application) we have for others:

A. Have you been able to practice doing good things for others?
B. What kinds of things have you done?
C. What has been the impact for others and for yourself?

13. Worship (Chapter 7: Worship; Chapter 28: Love, in Application) has been a consistent theme through our year of study:

A. How would you define worship?
B. What kinds of things or activities can be worship?
C. What changed for you as you studied worship?

14. Think of the diagram of the wide versus the narrow road (Chapter 34 Wide & Narrow Road):

A. What stood out to you as you studied this diagram?
B. Did the Lord show you anything specifically?
C. Has this diagram changed your understanding in any way?
D. What has been the impact of this changed understanding?
E. How would you explain the wide and narrow roads to another person?

15. As we grow and mature in this life it helps to make peace (Chapter 49: Spiritual Authority Resume, in Application; Chapter 37: Grown Up, in Application) with our past. It also helps to put down judgements about life, self, others, and God:

A. Were you able to use the healing prayer process to find healing of any childhood wounds?
B. Did you use the healing prayer process to confess and heal from any judgements you may have made against life?
C. And did you use the healing prayer process to confess and find new strength of holiness?
D. What has been the impact of these prayer times in your life?

16. We learned about being safe and unsafe people (Chapter 43: God is For People, in Application):

A. List 5 characteristics of unsafe people.

17. We studied Lex Rex (Chapter 41: Lex Rex):

18. We also studied mutual submission (Chapter 45: Mutual Submission) and the idea that mutual submission is about receiving from each other with open hearts:
